Our topic this month in Aistear is Houses, Homes and Families.
We have used some stories as inspiration for our topic - including “The Three Little Pigs”, “Hansel and Gretel” and “There’s no Place like Home”.
We have used our imagination to create different types of homes, including campervans, in our ”Construction” group. We have role-played in our new “Dramatic Role Play” area - and are keeping the new kitchen very clean with our new hoover. In “Small World” we have explored the different rooms in the house, linking it with our SESE work. In “Arts and Crafts” we made houses of straw, wood and bricks - using real straw, lollipop sticks and pictures of bricks.
