For our PE dance topic, the whole school worked together in mixed-aged groups to plan, create and perform their version of the “Haka”. We used the tribal dance from New Zealand, as well as Samoa, Tonga and Fiji as a stimulus for our own scary creations! The children tied it in with art and SESE, planning their group’s own colours, outfits and choice of “war paint”. The performances were excellent and the participation levels were fantastic. Well done to everyone!
